Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP-Senior Plan)

Dr. Le Dental Care proudly accepts the CDCP (Canadian Dental Care Plan) for seniors and Canadian residents. This plan provides coverage for dental services to eligible Canadians.

What Is the CDCP?

The CDCP is a government-backed initiative designed to provide comprehensive dental services to eligible individuals. Here’s what you need to know:

Eligibility and dates:
If you’re a senior aged 65 and above, you are eligible for coverage under the CDCP.

  • You must have a completed tax return for the previous year.
  • Application start date: May,01st 2024
  • Eligibility extends to residents with an adjusted family net income below $90,000 who do not have access to private dental insurance.

Coverage for Children Under 18

  • Eligibility Requirements:
    • Must be under 18 years of age.
    • Parents or guardians must have a completed tax return for the previous year.
    • Must not have private or workplace dental insurance
    • Application Start date: June,27 2024
    • Eligibility extends to residents with an adjusted family net income below $90,000 who do not have access to private dental insurance.
  • The remaining eligible population in Canada will be able to apply for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) starting in 2025. 

Income Categories and Coverage

The CDCP’s coverage is influenced by your adjusted family net income:

  • Income Below $70,000: Coverage is 100% of eligible oral health care service costs at CDCP established fees, with a co-payment of 0%.
  • Income Between $70,000 and $79,999: Coverage is 60% of eligible oral health care service costs at CDCP established fees, with a co-payment of 40%.
  • Income Between $80,000 and $89,999: Coverage is 40% of eligible oral health care service costs at CDCP established fees, with a co-payment of 60%.
